I asked. We all have secrets, Artemis-rhya. I am not judging you. I am not casting aspersions or infering things for fun. I have bled for you, Artemis. For you specifically and more than once. I don't say that as to claim the right to doubt your words but as proof that I am concerned with you, for you. You asked if that was not 'enough', I am not of your esteemed rank, but I have learned one very important lesson, maybe more true for me than others. It is NEVER enough. Never. Giving up till the end and then bleeding to give a little more.

Still, this is your show. *Bows and takes a step back.*

"I appreciate that, Miguel, I really do." she says, not taking her eyes from her double. "But not everyone has a dark and secret past. My life's out there in shiny, sparkly color to anyone that asks. The fact that I felt I had to hide gave me guilt. I'm no longer hiding, because I can't. Hiding's toxic. Suffering alone is what scarred Pit Stop."

"Good thing I'm not alone."

Steelheart approaches from within the borders of the caern and nods.

Using "Image of the Saints" on !Artie, and also now that they're in the same area, seeing if any spiritual ties/effects are visible in the Umbra.

Artie shifts back down to Homid. She needs a nap.

!Artie reverts to Homid, gives a cheery smile to the assembled boys who've come to watch, and then moves to depart.

*turns to leave, stone faced.*

"Aw, c'mon, Miguel." Artemis puts a hand on his shoulder to stop him from leaving. "I'm sorry you're hurt by what happened here. You really are doing a good job as a shield brother and a confessional. You give me a lot of emotional courage. Please don't be mad."

*looks slowly from the hand to Artemis' face*
Artemis-rhya. I dont anger easily. I am more confused than anything. I had honestly thought I had earned your friendship. I am sorry to say it seems I was wrong. I dont know what it will take to get you to believe, truly, that I only want the best for you. I believed that there was a bridge between us, a solid working relationship and a friendship, possibly a great one. It seems I have was mistaken diplomatically, professionally..... and personally.

*bows*

*steps back away from the hand and moves past*

Artemis sighs. "Thanks, all, for witnessing that. I'll be around, but I gotta work out some shit."
