((Sinstalker gives quick advice about the generic BSD look with Wyrm Lore 3 and BSD Lore 1 (expert on the Wyrm, but just the basics to get by on BSDs), sharply complaining about any obvious imperfections. He also gives a short speech in mind speak to prep the pack. (See below.) Finally, he activates Persuasion, getting ready to address the vile scrags.))

Mind speek in About 9 seconds nead tentcals of darkness in ther drect path. After that ill re asses were we are. But ill nead darkness just after.

Asuming this works and the tentcals slow them soom ill make up some time if not ill take a rage action to dubble mothat round keeping them back. ooc that about 4 to 6 rounds you guys get cleer.

If the tentacals slow them singifngntly ill blur and ahift drectons to diss engage. If not amd the darkness doaent slow them ill use rage to open a gap then jump over. And keep running on that side.

How far i push depends on how well the destrations work.

Round 1 Everyman: The Scrags declare "Chasing Jay." They'll be moving 26 yards.

Adam charges forward the first round to appear to be with the Scrags. Naturally, they move a lot faster than him, and he allows them to gain ground.

Okay. So here's how this plays out:

The Scrags go tearing off after Jay. Attempts to slow them don't work out so well; they avoid the obstacles. One veers left, and the other veers right, apparently going for a prong attack.

Jay dodges and jinks through the woods. Although it's only a matter of seconds, it seems like an eternity. (OOC: About 5 rounds.)

As Jay is tracking the Scrag to his left, which has drawn up unnervingly close, he hears a snarl from behind him--the other Scrag has managed to flank him! It swings at him with a wickedly-sharp claw roughly the size of an Oldsmobile. Jay throws himself flat just in time to avoid being eviscerated.

The Scrag snarls and leaps, ready to rend the "blind wolf" limb from limb...and his claws close on empty air. The moment's distraction is sufficient for Jay to step sideways.

The screeching roar of frustration is audible even back where the rest of the pack is assembled.

<<"On that note,">> Mutters the Blind Galliard, <<"I think it's time for us to get the fuck out. We'll meet Jay and summon the Wolf spirit when we get back to Falling Waters. Let's go!">>

He turns to leave, and assuming there are no objections, does so.
