Yet Another Howl of Introduction 10/1/14

"Well..." growls the Galliard, "I've always wondered what it looks like when a minion of the Wyrm tries to enter. Thanks for the enlightening display, Dillard-ikthya."

A large axe appears in Adam's hand, but he hesitates, like a man watching a train wreck.

Dillard turns towards you, somehow able to hear. But what could he possibly say?

There is a fleshy tearing sound, and waters begin to spray out from both ends of his pelvis. The wounded Garou desperately tears at his throat, trying desperately to draw a single breath.

(Myself and Giovanna still haven't moved from the spot where her entrance just happened..)

*Miguel looks over........... and explodes into crinos. His silver furred form bulging huge covered in plates of armor that match his fur's argent sheen. His shield, appearing strapped to his left arm, comes up and in front of his body as he steps in front of and to the left of his Silver fang companion, his sword snapping to the ready as a growl rips from his throat*

Dillard keeps tearing at himself, but seems unable to do anything to help ease his suffering. The force of the water grows stronger, the force actually lifts the Crinos Garou off the ground and throws him around the hall.

"I can do nothing to save you, traitor, even if I wanted to." Adam's voice is rough, as though he is horrified by the spectacle before him. "It would seem you have failed the Maid's test. Even were I so inclined, I wouldn't have the slightest clue how to save you."

He hefts the axe.

"I can, however, end your misery. Admit that you have betrayed the Nation, by showing me your throat, arms behind your back, and I will end your suffering. Refuse, and I will allow you to suffer the Maid's wrath."

The figure is thrown around the antechamber in a ragdoll fashion, his chest opens out like a rotten vegetable and continues spraying water.  He slams against the walls, the ceiling and the floor in random sequence.

As the water intensifies as Adam speaks and picks the Garou up violently, he shrugs, lowering the axe.

"Oh well, too late I guess. He seemed like such a nice fellow too. Just goes to show that you never really know a guy..."

Turning to the Silver Fangs who recently made their first jumps, Adam shrugs, gesturing over his shoulder at the ragdoll Garou.

"This is why we make new people take the plunge. Sure, we have Guardians, but The Maid is really her own security."

Dillard is blatantly still alive, desperately trying to close his chest cavity as he is thrown about.

*looks at the Uktena*

So... this doesn't bother you?

"No one has ever seen someone who didn't meet with the Lady's approval attempt to enter before. I admit, I didn't think it'd be like this. I assumed they'd just keep falling."

At the sound of movement, Adam glances back over his shoulder.

"Holy shit. Is that dude still alive? Someone go get Artie. She's the gatekeeper and can commune directly with the Maid. I need to know if this was her. This seems... too grotesque for the lady."

With that, he begins to advance on Dillard.

Howl for her, Galliard.

Finally, the form abruptly closes all it's wounds and crumples to the ground, Dillard manages a single pained, "WHYYYYYYYY" and rises to one knee before the waters resumes spraying out of his mouth and groin again and the whole terrible process begins again.

(Garou lore 2 : Looks like the poor bastard is Death Frenzing.)

The look Adam gives the Cliath over his shoulder could kill, but Howl he does. Issuing a Call of the Wyld, his nuanced howl echoes through the Caern.

<<"We have a problem in the Antechamber! Seta-Rhya! Troubleshooters! Guardians!">>

It takes another thirty seconds or so for Dillard to die, his body gradually being shredded by the power of the cataract bursting through him.  

In the end, the waters recede.

Of Dillard, nothing remains.

Adam stands in the hall, staring down at the spot where Dillard died for a long time. His brow is furrowed and frankly, he seems more confused than anything else.

"That..." he mutters, "was not good."

*Looks at the place where Dillard died... and then back to Adam.*

So.... who was the man I just saw die?

Adam sighs.

"His name was Stan Dillard. He was a Fostern Ahroun of the Children of Gaia. He was a pretty well-known Hero from Greece, though he was a bit frowned on due to a number of unorthodox tactics. Whatever did that to him was strong Gaian magic, which is why I assumed it was the Maid - she's pretty much the strongest Gaian thing around these parts."

He continues staring for a moment.

"Now, however, I'm not so sure. This doesn't seem like The Maid's style. I wonder if he violated some form of Chimenage..."

*Thinks then shakes his head*

I think it is simpler than that. *sighs and shakes his head* But all I have is theories and conjecture, thus far..

"Oh? Do tell. I'm open to all theories and conjecture at this point, considering the situation."

Shimmering forms, outlines of Crinos Garou, appear from all directions and circle the room. Three depart almost immediately from the Caern, while the other two stand silent and still.

There's Artie again, looking like there was something important she was just doing.

"What?"

Adam nods to the Gatekeeper when she arrives.

"Artie, did, uh... did the Maid just deny someone entry to the Caern? If not, does she know what force just caused a waterfall to erupt from a Garou's body before my very eyes? I assume she'd have told you if she did, since you're the Gatekeeper."
